Privacy policy

This policy explains what limited information TaxCairn collects and how we use it. It is written in plain language and is general information, not legal advice.

What we collect

When you use our matching form, we collect only what you choose to give us: your first name, a way to reach you (email and, optionally, phone), the state you live in, your preferred language, and a short description of your situation.

We do not collect — and please do not send us — your Social Security number, ITIN, tax returns, financial-account numbers, or immigration documents. If a message includes a number that looks like an SSN or ITIN, we remove it automatically.

How we use it

We use your information to match you, at no cost to you, with a tax attorney or tax-resolution professional, and to follow up about your request. With your consent, we or a matched professional may contact you by phone, text, or email. Consent is not required to use the service, and you can opt out at any time.

Who we share it with

We share your contact details only with a tax professional we match you with, so they can help you. We do not sell your information to unrelated third parties or advertising networks.

Your choices

You can ask us to update or delete your information, or to stop contacting you, by emailing hello@taxcairn.com. You can unsubscribe from any message we send.
